Thanks for your comments on my blog. I like this blog you started. I’m adding it to my blogroll.
I understand what you mean about being a Christian. The fundamentalists have somehow usurped “Christianity” in America in that they’ve vocally laid claim to what they believe is the Christian viewpoint. (Might I add, anyone who lays claim to having the “right” way is dangerous. It allows no room for other views, contradictions or even pardox).
Paulette, on the blog Letustalk.wordpress is a Christian who, like you, is not a fundamentalist and is also angry about how the fundamentalists have given Christians a bad name so to speak.
Personally, I practice an eastern philosophy – metaphysics! – that embodies living the teachings of all the great ones – Jesus, Buddha, Krishna. And that ultimately God is found within yourself. See God in yourself and see God in each other. It’s not about laying claim to what’s “right”.
So here’s a thought to leave with you today: “One who thinks he knows not, knows; one who thinks he knows, knows not.”
